Experience
Ken Hubbard has practiced law for more than 50 years, primarily in the area of natural resources law (mining, oil and gas, environmental and water law), with extensive experience in both transactional work and the handling of appeals of administrative decisions. He has also worked in the area of reviewing, analyzing and commenting upon proposed amendments to both legislation and regulations affecting this area of the law, at all levels -- local, state, national and international. While at Holland & Hart, he represented a large number of oil and gas and mining clients. While in the Aspen office of Holland & Hart (1967-74), he also handled a number of real property transactions and land use matters. In the Denver, Aspen and Washington, DC (1987-89) offices of Holland & Hart, he handled numerous matters involving mining claims located under the General Mining Law of the United States, oil shale litigation and other natural resources matters, including some uranium and coal matters. While at the Denver offices of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll and Dorsey & Whitney, Ken continued to work in these areas, including substantial transactional work related to mining projects in both the United States and other countries, especially in Latin America. Since becoming Of Counsel to Fognani & Faught in 2001, he has continued to work in all of these areas of the law, especially on matters relating to mining projects in Asia. He has also acted as an arbitrator in a number of mining and oil and gas disputes involving projects in both the United States and in other countries.
